Kenzi Melody*** (The Writer :)

My name is Kenzi, and I'm a junior in high school. I like a lot of things...potatoes, mayonnaise, peanut butter, stormy days, tomatoes, e-mail, acting, singing. I dream of going to Ireland, where my grandmother is from, and I LOVE the Lord of the Rings. If somebody could ever compare me to him - even just to say that I use "the" in the same way as J.R.R. Tolkien - my entire career would be worth it.

If that career ever happens. :) I love to read, especially fantasy, and when I was fourteen I decided that if other people could write books, so could I. I finished Though my path be Paved by Fire one school year later, and the rest is history. :)

So far my only paid jobs are cat-sitting, babysitting, and acting, but hopefully that's about to change. :) I love being on stage, but my real dream is to write.

I've decided that writing is less of a hobby and more of a disease. :) I can't stop now that I've started. Someday, if everything works out the way that I hope it will, I'll be an author. I really feel at the moment like that's God's plan for my life. And who knows? Before long I may be selling my work from this blog! :)

 

Mary Kate Nicole (The Reader :)

Hey! I'm Mary Kate, and this is a blog about me and my sister Kenzi. I'm in sixth grade, and I am home schooled but I attend a co-op every Thursday with lots of my friends!

I live in Kentucky, a state that I absolutely love! Here are a few things that I am involved with: Horse back riding lessons, basketball team, play rehearsals, co-op, reading Kenzi's book, and spending time with friends:) I love the wild west so Annie Oakley is my favorite historical character. Going to Ireland has been my dream for years!

You are probably wondering why it says the reader by my name at the top. Well, I suppose I'll have to tell you. I read my sister's book to her and our friends which is my practice for the audio book recording that I will be doing someday for her book. So that is why I am called the reader. In the paragraph above written by my sister, she told you what she is planning on doing for the rest of her life. Being an author is her dream. As for me, I'll just walk straight ahead, because I have no idea what God has in store for my life. To finish off this paragraph about me, I will write one of my favorite verses: Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the plans I have for you declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future."
