So now you can see what few have seen. I love writing the "back of the book" summary for all of my stories, so I thought that I might share them with you. These four compose the pride of my heart, the Aldareian Saga. Though my path be Paved by Fire and Never Too Far are done, but Twisted Twilight and Carina's Blood are still in the process of being finished.
Be prepared to laugh at the stupidity. :) I'm no where near as good as I like to think, but at least I can flatter myself. :)
Twisted Twilight (The Aldareian Saga, Book One)
Even at seven, Davin de Ashland of southern Aldareia knows what all of his neighbors think of him. No one believes that he, the youngest son of a wheat farmer, should ever even aspire to become a Knight of Aldareia. Foolish dreams, that's all. Davin isn't giving up so easily, however. After an accident at home sends the young boy and his friend, Rosemarie, on a journey which most only dream of, he finds the courage to chase after that which he has only hoped for.But when unintended complications derail their plans, sending Davin and Rosemarie headlong into a tangled world of hidden children and deceptive slave traders, both of them must decide if the lives of others are more important than their dreams.
The eighteen-year-old princess of Aidni, Mahala, finds herself drowning in palace intrigue after the death of her father. As her three immature brothers fight over who will have the now-vacant throne, a small group of advisers come to Mahala with a plan to make her queen. Mahala knows she will risk much by accepting such a deal, possibly endangering her beloved sister and definitely plunging herself deeper into her mother's hate. But a choice which she would have once abhorred no longer seems so bad, and Mahala wonders...could she be queen?
Two lives so far apart...searching for the same courage.
Though my path be Paved by Fire (The Aldareian Saga, Book Two)
The nation of Aldareia is content to ignore evil. Peaceful, quiet, and happy, the Aldareians live their lives in blissful ignorance of any potential enemies. Things are not as they should be, however. Beyond the borders of Aldareia, the forces of darkness multiply, preparing for a battle which will end the days of peace forever.
Called in a dream, Falen Connerson has a mission to defeat that darkness which will carry her far beyond her home and everything that she has ever known. Choices must be made which will change her life forever, but time is running out and nothing is certain. For Falen and her friends, every choice could mean the difference between life and certain death.
Never Too Far (The Aldareian Saga, Book Three)
Falen Connerson isn’t the same as she was nine years ago in Aidni. She only wants to stay out of trouble, but time is running out and on its own the darkness grows. When her own daughter, Zerah, and others in the castle disappear, Falen has no choice but to set off in search of Sir Hissaton once again. But he is waiting for her in the cold, cruel northern region of Sygor, and will not be so easily defeated this time…
Evil will not rest forever.
Carina's Blood (The Aldareian Saga, Book Four)
Only several weeks after the return from Sygor, Falen Connerson begins receiving mysterious messages from someone who died long ago. She begins to wonder if perhaps things are not as they seem. In Rayli, whispers of the past are falling upon Abrytitis as he is somehow forced to relive things which he never wanted to remember.
Things are spinning out of control once again in the Aldareian Empire and in the neighboring nation of Aidni, all of the turmoil centered on Falen’s long-dead mother. Who was Carina, and what did she know that she was never able to tell?
A new search for truth has begun, one which will lead Falen, Abrytitis, and Faedrin through the unthinkable darkness of Sir Hissaton’s underworld, and the infinite beauty of El Elyon’s hidden home, Lost Paradise. With the fate of Aldareia hanging in the balance and without even Davin’s help, Falen must take on a quest which will change her life forever. All of her earlier adventures seem to be woven together in the secrets revealed by Carina’s blood.
